LOCALISING OUR SUPPLY CHain

In 2023 and after two years of development we began to plan for large scale production. It was important to us to create a supply chain that was not only reliable and able to meet our needs but also as local as possible. A local supply chain allows us to work closely with our providers for R&D and quality assurance as well keeping the carbon footprint small.

The most challenging element of qualifying new suppliers is matching or improving upon the technical performance of the materials used in the development process. After several video calls, technical drawing exchanges, site visits and test batches with detailed laboratory and field testing we were able to finalise versions of our SIGMA and OMEGA ranges and implement processes to make them ready for mass production.

We are working with EuroTech Group in Exmouth to produce our antenna blades, Arktis in Exeter for the fabric sleeves, our coating supplier is in Hampshire and Scott Cables in Portsmouth provide our cables. Each of our major suppliers is within 75 miles of our assembly facility.

The experience we have gained in qualifying our local supply chain sets us up for the future. We understand that some international customers place great importance on a local supply chain for a combination of security, economic and environmental reasons. Our recently established processes give us the confidence to qualify new suppliers whilst maintaining the performance we expect from our SIGMA and OMEGA antenna ranges.
