DASA R&D PROJECT COMPLETED

This week marks the successful conclusion of our Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) Rapid Impact project, Tempus Wave. We integrated our Tachron precision wireless time and frequency transfer system which had been developed in previous DASA projects with surrogate Electronic Surveillance payloads for a TRL 5-6 field trial.

Tachron offers a GNSS free solution for time and frequency transfer, enabling system synchronisation within a few nanoseconds. The recent field trial not only validated the technology but also demonstrated its effectiveness in representative operational environments. One benefit of February trials was the chance to confirm that our system definitely operates in the rain!

Previous trials with Dstl underscored Tachron's resilience to intentional jamming, paving the way for a groundbreaking resilient method of distributing precision time within the battlefield wirelessly.
